Updates Regarding Bittersweet Farms' Coronavirus (COVID-19) Response
Last Updated: Monday, April 12th, 2021
In light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Bittersweet Farms is taking several proactive, preventative measures to protect its participants and staff. We continue to monitor updates from the CDC and state and local authorities to ensure we are aligned on prevention, protocols, and next steps.
For the first half of 2021, Bittersweet will be working with DODD to plan for a phased, gradual, and safe reopening of the programs that have been temporarily suspended due to COVID-19.
At this time, we are able to share the following specific updates with you:
- Our three locations (Whitehouse, Pemberville, and Lima) remain closed to visitors, with the exception of essential business or family-related visits, until further notice.
- The Transition Program in Pemberville is open.
- The Day Program at Betty's Farm in Lima is open.
- Bittersweet continues to provide residential supports and in-home day programming for residents in Whitehouse and Pemberville.
- While custom orders are suspended, select Bittersweet Creative Arts items, Bittersweet Culinary cookies, and other products are available for sale online at the Market at Bittersweet Gardens.
- Bittersweet's volunteer program is suspended until further notice.
In this time as always, our mission remains at the forefront: positively impacting the lives of individuals with autism and those whose lives they touch. We will continue to make updates available on this page and on social media. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out at 419-875-6986.
