Bittersweet Pemberville’s Transition Program serves adolescents and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders ages 12-22. The transition program addresses each student’s individual academic goals, vocational skill enhancement, social skill development, physical activity and life skills. Bittersweet’s unique farmstead model provides the individuals the opportunity for a variety of academic activities and occupations created to their interests and skill level.
Bittersweet Pemberville’s educational staff, intervention specialist, families, and schools have developed an Individualized Education Program (IEP) for each individual. The IEP focuses on developing life skills that will ensure that each individual is prepared to make the transition from student to adulthood.
