The day program participants and residents are involved in every step of the process when it comes to meal preparation and creating products to sell. One of the program's latest (and most exciting) endeavors has been tomato chutney!
In 2013, Bittersweet, Inc. received a generous grant from the United States Department of Agriculture, National Institute of Food and Agriculture to support the
expansion of the horticulture program. Along with this grant came the opportunity to develop two new food products, tomato chutney and an arugula pesto. Communica, a full service marketing, advertising, and public relations agency in Toledo, OH has worked with Bittersweet to brand, market, and develop the new product line.
